ÌTÀN – The Story Is Back On Stage
Theatre drama lovers should be geared up to having a splendid time for this Easter period as Thespian Family Theatre & Productions is all set to thrill audiences of all ages and interests with Ayo Jaiyesimi’s ITAN – The story.
Inspired by the need to resolve generational tensions and triggered conversations on Generational Diversity, ITAN – The Story, is a masterful showcase of Nigerian dance, drama, music and culture enmeshed in an epic story that transcends generations.
The stage performance which is scheduled to hold from the 20th to the 22nd of April 2019 at the AGIP Hall of the MUSON Centre, will be featured with 8 shows spanning the entire period.
The concept will be brought to life by an interesting line-up of casts in the persons of Henry Arnold, Nissi George, Omololu Shodiya, Efe Awusa, Efe Mayford, Omowunmi Dada and Broda Shaggi, who are all favourites to a diverse audience and widely known for their impeccable delivery.
In the words of Mrs Ayo Jaiyesimi, “The play, ITAN, is an epic narration of trans-generational disparities featuring interesting twists towards a smooth transition between eras. With time personified, the story has been carefully weaved to take the audience on a creative ride from the past to the present and emerging future. It is sure to wow the audience and further propel ongoing conversations on knowledge retention, the emerging digital space and how life, work, spaces and communities would change over the coming years.
