Why I left MMG records label- Singer, Iyanya
‘Kukere’ crooner, Inyanya in a recent interview opened up about his career decisions. The R ‘n’ B/Afropop singer stated why he left his former record label ‘Made Men Music’. According to him,”there was too much darkness”.
He further stated that there was ‘no trust’ in between him and the co-owner of the label, Ubi Franklin at a point, which eventually made him exit. He added that the initial agreement he had with Ubi was to ‘co-run’ the label, but surprisingly discovered that his name was not in the ownership contract later on.
However, Iyanya went on to appraise Mavin boss, Don Jazzy for taking him in when he left MM music, stating that he ‘was not officially signed’ to Mavin records – unlike what the public thought. He claimed that the deal was out of love from Don Jazzy.
