No better feeling than walking and working in my home country – Oluchi Orlandi

Supermodel and entrepreneur, Oluchi Onweagba-Orlandi, has expressed joy at working and walking on the runway in Nigeria.

The 38-year-old, who was one of the models that strut the runway at the recently concluded Arise Fashion Week took to her Instagram page to state that how amazing she feels after praying and working for growth and consistency in the fashion industry, both nationally and continentally.

“How AMAZING?!!!! I remember when we prayed & worked, for growth and consistency in the fashion industry both nationally and continentally. There’s NO better feeling than walking and working in my home country ?? @turfahofficial THANKYOU ?? and the entire Arise team. Thanks!!! ✊? #AriseFashionWeek.”

Oluchi grew up in the suburbs of Lagos, Nigeria, with her two brothers and sisters. She is the daughter of a civil servant father and mother who was a nurse.

Since emerging 1998 M-Net’s “Face of Africa”, Oluchi is now identified as a change maker, a pioneer and a leading lady in the intimate apparel industry.

Oluchi has made the cover of top magazines like Italian Vogue, ELLE, Marie Claire and Allure. She also featured in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue from 2005 to 2008.

She has also been the face of campaigns by top brands like Banana Republic, Gap and Gianfranco Ferré.  She was also Victoria’s Secret model for seven years.

Aside from being a professional model, she is the founder of LuLu (LuLu Lingerie, LuLu Liner & LuLu Pads.

She married Italian designer, Luca Orlandi in 2015, and they been blessed with two kids.
