Award-winning author of Americannah, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie,who recently bagged two doctorate degrees from two United States universities in one weekend, is giving us something to ponder and act on.
On CNN, the beautiful prolific author stated that it was needless to to leave up to people’s expectation. According to her, that energy should be diverted to personal self-development.
She said:
“It is mentally exhausting to think about what people want and expect, and you take away from yourself, the energy that you could have used to do things that are actually meaningful to you.”
Recently, she became the first African to deliver the Class Day Speech of the Yale College at New Haven, Connecticut. It has been a jolly good year for this celebrated author.
