3 dating red flags to avoid

June 11,2019
Share:

Dating precedes marriage. It is embedded in a romantic relationship. The dating phase is a period to get to know your intended partner well.

There are some things to take note of during this period. To avoid costly mistakes leading to bad marriages, take note of the following:

1. Trust your instincts. Avoid dating someone despite the red flags that you see.  If you go on a date with somebody or you’ve had a few dates with somebody and you keep feeling as if something is off or you keep getting these red flags that tell you that this person is not right for you, don’t ignore those feelings and save yourself time, money and heartache.

2. Don’t date somebody who shows they have no respect for you.  You can tell if the person you are dating makes fun of you despite your request for them to stop. If they are always late, if they try to get you to do things that are illegal or unethical, this person is showing that they have no respect for you.  Don’t expect them to change.

3. Avoid somebody who discourages you from seeing your friends and family.  This is very bad sign.  When someone tries to discourage you from seeing your friends and family, they are trying to isolate you in order to better control you.  When someone tries to control you, it is never for a good reason except to manipulate and abuse you.
