Other serious side effects include confusion, hallucinations, shaky hands, difficulty in urinating and fast or irregular heartbeats. Studies have shown that using this drug over time has been linked to permanent memory loss.

In addition, cyproheptadine interacts with several other drugs and that can cause deadly interactions.

Finally, the side effects of being overweight due to the increased food consumption cannot be understated. That includes an increased risk of developing diabetes, high cholesterol, heart disease and joint problems.
