Nollywood actress, Ify Okeke is encouraging every plus size woman to embrace their body and stoop letting the opinions of others gets to them.

Sharing her experience with body shaming, Ify says she has never allowed it get to her, noting that she has always been a plus size woman right from childhood.

While she revealed that she gets calls from other plus size women on how she’s rocking her body without breaking from people’s judgmental stares, Ify says she has learnt over the years to love her body, embrace it and rock it without anyone’s approval.

Anybody who knows me to well know that BODY SHAMING ME DIRECTLY or INDIRECTLY doesn’t move me. Yes, I’m an emotional person but that part NO DEY WORK! Truly I had to do this to help a lot of people.

Every day I get CALLS, DMs, SMS, WHATSPP, MESSENGERS etc with cry of DEPRESSION or a question of HOW DO YOU DO IT? And what’s causing the DEPRESSION? COMPLEX! INFERIORITY COMPLEX ABOUT THEIR BODY SIZE. And I get so upset when they start with the whining part…MY DEAR, NOBODY WILL LOVE YOU IF YOU DON’T LOVE YOURSELF!
