PID, disease every woman should be aware of

Pelvic Inflammatory Disease( PID) is the inflammation of the female pelvic organs or tissues.
It is a bacterial infection of the uterus, fallopian tubes and other female reproductive organs. 
The graphic picture above shows the cervix (opening of the uterus-womb) discharging mucopurulent substances.
Many women suffer from this disease and some of them don’t even know there is a tiny organism damaging their reproductive system and this is why some women get pregnant after taking care of this tiny/destructive organisms.
Often this is due to an ascending intravaginal infection, however, in traditional Chinese medicine, it may also be caused by endogenous factors such as Liver Qi stagnation transforming into fire and heat in the blood.
PID often causes inflammation of the fallopian tubes (salpingitis) and ovarian obstructions and adhesions.
This is often due to congealed exudate lingering from the acute phase of the infectious aspect of PID.
The predominant symptoms for all cases of PID are:
lower abdominal pain.
thick and sticky whitish, yellowish or greenish discharge of mucus from the vagina.
Pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) can come with vague symptoms, some women may not notice the symptoms while those that present with symptoms may experience:
 
Lower abdominal pain
.
✔ Foul-smelling vaginal discharge
.
✔ Bleeding or pain during intercourse
.
✔ Fever
.
✔ Nausea and vomiting
PID can cause:
Scarring of the fallopian tubes and neighbouring tissues
.
✔ Increased risk of ectopic pregnancy.
.
✔ Abscess formation ( As shown in the picture)
.
✔ Chronic pelvic pain
.
✔ Partial/ Complete tubal blockage
.
✔ Infertility.
 According to Oluwaseyi Aruleba- Adebayo, a medical doctor, who practice integrative medicine, PID should be treated immediately it is confirmed.
“Do not wait till it damages the tubes that will carry your eggs to the uterus for implantation. Explore the world of nature to heal your body. An infection is capable of causing plenty havoc. Fight them immediately you catch them with potent remedies, Build your immunity, Load your cells with antioxidants,” she said.
