Aso-oke, the traditional woven cloth is popular among the Yoruba people and it is used for very important functions.

While men make Agbada out of it, women make Iro and Buba, which also shows responsibility and maturity among the Yoruba tribe. However, in this century, aso-oke is becoming popular for its versatility. The beauty of the cloth is in its textures and colours, helping designers to get creative while working on it.

In the pictures below, fashion influencer, Adeaga Bukunmi shows us how to rock an aso-oke outfit outside the traditional styles. Do you have an abandoned aso-oke, it’s time to dig it out of that place you kept it.
