Kissing Iyanya took me many tries –Ex-BBN housemate, Diane Russet

Former Big Brother Naija reality show, Diane Yashim, popularly known as Diane Russet, was in the news during the week after she featured singer, Iyanya Mbuk, in her short film titled, The Therapist.

In one of the scenes, the duo could be seen sharing a passionate kiss which sparked various reactions on social media.

Diane described her experience shooting that particular scene. “As an actor, one’s job is to be the character and deliver it perfectly. We had so many takes on that scene and I am happy it came out just how we wanted it. So far, the reviews are amazing and encouraging,” she said.

Russet also insisted that filmmaking is her first love. She said, “Filmmaking has always been my first love and passion, asides from my business. Producing this short film is not only a dream come true, it is the realisation of the power of believing in oneself,”

The actress who became more popular after BBNaija noted that life has been good after participating in the reality TV show. “Life has been good so far. I thank God for his mercies and grace. In all honesty, I didn’t expect to get this far, this quickly. Thanks to my management and my team for working with me to achieve these milestones. I always say it takes a village to see every outcome we put out to the world,” she said.

On her weirdest experience with a fan, Russet said, “Just some days ago, I had a two-day pop-up sales tour in Festac, Lagos, with a cosmetic brand which I work with as a brand ambassador. When I was coming back from where I went to eat, a fan jumped on me and I almost fell down. It was a very weird experience. She literally stuck by my side the whole day. It is really humbling to experience such great love. The support my fans give me is indescribable. I am thankful to God for giving them to me. Without them, there is no me.”
