Honeybols Boss, Adebimpe Akinfolajimi Gives Back To School
In a bid to develop the interest of pupils in learning mathematics with easy, faster and modern technique, Honeybols Foundation held a three days mathematics trainings program in schools across Lagos state.
The three days program with free donation of Maths Skill table and simple technique on how to operate the Maths skill game was well embraced by the beneficiaries as they were all full of excitement with the new means of engaging students in mathematics skill.
The program that started on January 15th to 17th 2020 with the theme; ‘Burnley Maths Skill Program’ had schools like, Girls’ Junior High School, Government Junior Grammar School, MD Nursery and Primary School, Agidingbi Junior Grammar School, St. Agnes Primary School and Saka Tinubu Memorial Primary School as the beneficiaries of the maiden edition.
According to the convener, Mrs Adebimpe Akinfolajimi, “The mission of the foundation is to empower & educate some of the world’s most vulnerable children by providing opportunities to heal, learn and grow. And over the years we have been able to empower over 150 widows and reached out to over 3000 widows & women in food stuffs, clothing & household items.”
“Presently the foundation has 15 students in private schools in Lagos on their scholarship scheme.”
“Meanwhile, our mission with this Maths Skill Game was to encourage both primary and secondary school pupils to pick interest in mathematics and also to make the teaching of mathematics easier for their teachers.” She concluded.
The foundation is a nonprofit, non-religious, non-political and non-discriminatory, participatory organization involved in people oriented development in Nigeria, which has been in existence for 15years but official for five years.
And the Foundation specializes in proffering and fighting poverty while supporting widows, orphans and vulnerable children, ensuring they achieve their future goals.
