Congratulations, how would you compare life before winning the pageant and after winning?
Well, life before winning the pageant was quite indecisive as regards what I would want to do or be a part of, where I would want to live and so on. Whereas after winning the pageant, my life is more focused. I am now certain of a lot of things. I know where I would want to work and live, I am so sure of what I want to be a part of which, part of which is being in the Aviation industry. I even know what I would want to wear, (laughs). So basically, winning this pageant has being an eye opener for me, I see clearly in all regard and I am motivated and inspired to be more.
What’s your regular day to day schedule like these days?
A typical day for me is a work day. I am usually very informed about my meetings and engagements for the day, so I prepare accordingly. I have meetings, interviews, photo-shoots as the case maybe. But one certain thing is, I wake up every day ready to work.
What’s does this mean for you. And what should it mean for other girls out there?
Being Miss Aviation Nigeria for me means a rare privilege to serve and develop myself in all ways to be better than I was before, as well as, availing to me the opportunity to be a part of the Aviation industry. And to other girls I would say it should mean to them that their every aspiration is achievable.
Can you tell us more about your pet projects?
Firstly, I intend to carry out a WASH (water, sanitation, and hygiene) project amongst children in schools. This is so that they pursue their dreams and aspirations in all round good health.
Secondly, I will be holding career days in schools amongst the students and their parents. I intend to work with professionals that will add to voices counselling both parent and children to believe in the beauty of their dreams. In a society where negative counsel has shifted the future aspirations of these young ones, I do hope that this project make them see they can be whatever they choose to be in the society to make the world a better place.
You won a chance to feature in a movie too. How is that going? Do you truly want to be a movie star?
Yes. Indeed it’s very exciting. I do really want to be a movie star. Beyond the popularity and glamour, I think it’s going to be so beautiful to fit the shoes of different lifestyles and backgrounds. I feel it will broaden my mindset and help me appreciate life even better.
What’s next after Miss Aviation?
After Miss Aviation, I should be all focused on building my career as a cabin crew member amongst other important things will come my way.
Let’s know about the process that produced you as a crowned princess? Tell us the behind the scenes stories.
(Laughing) Hard work, determination and focus. Those were my three keys whilst preparing for the competition. The only thing I kept telling myself was, I could do it. I believed in my dreams and myself beyond anything else.
What do you hate about being a beauty queen?
Hmmm. What do I hate? Is there something to hate? (Laughs)… Maybe…Really I can’t figure one thing out right now.
What do you love the most about it?
Well, this I can answer (laughs). Of all the things I love about being a beauty queen, I love that it molds my mind and personality to be ever ready to work when called upon as well as, serve people.
