Emirates treats customers to an exclusive wine tasting experience

It was indeed an exciting time for customers and associates of Emirates airline as they were treated to a first class wine experience in Lagos last month.

Guests at the event, held at the Oriental Hotel Lagos, were given the unique opportunity to explore the world of Emirates fine wine and champagne; a range of carefully curated fine wine and champagne served only in first class and business class.
Speaking at the event, Afzal Parambil, Emirates Regional Manager for West Africa, said the event was aimed at giving guests the opportunity to get the taste of their wine, not just the wine, but also the story behind the wine. “Because Emirates goes through a long process to select a wine, it is important that customers experience the process or the journey of our wine selection”.

Afzal Parambil, noted that the versatility of each wine can easily be paired with the food served on board. “So we put in alot of efforts in the selection of menu itself. For instance in Nigeria we are influenced by local foods and we decide which one should go with that.” He stated that Wine paring is done for every flight on Emirate.
