Who is complimenting and singing your praise?

When you begin to receive so much compliments make certain you know who exactly is complimenting or singing your praise.

The moment you are doing something amazing, you’d certainly receive compliments but you’ve got to be mindful before allowing it get to your brain?

A story from the past said.

A young man after sitting for the west African examination council exams was extremely worried.

On the release of the result he rushed to a cyber Cafe to check the outcome and printed it out.

The reaction he got is categorized into three

  1.  The first told him he did excellently well and even reminded him that no one among them ever got half of this.
  2. The second group told him, ‘This is a great result. I got something similar when I wrote mine’
  3. The last group said ; there is room for improvement;next time put in more effort but all the same congratulations on passing your exams.

All three Complimented him for the result but they all said it using different choice of words.

People dish out compliments based on the level they’ve gotten to.

They do that using themselves as a yardstick to measure your success and accomplishment.

Someone that didn’t go to school would praise you for being a student regardless of how well you are doing.

Before you allow compliments get to your head and make you feel like you’ve arrived, kindly know which group it’s coming from.

You might really be at your early phase and relax because the compliments from people who haven’t dreamed of starting had clouded your passion and zeal.

Make acquaintance with people you can learn from as that has a way of ensuring your growth remains continuous.

You can be a king amongst people who have no dream or ambition and that can simply drain all you know as a person and leave you stagnant.

Avoid being the brightest in your clique, you need people who will always make you the best version of you.

Remember to always be mindful of the compliments you get and most importantly know who it’s coming from.
