Ibadan based Muslim cleric celebrates release of abducted twins
The abducted twin children of popular Ibadan based Muslim cleric, Sheikh Taofeek Akewugbagold has been released, and expectedly, the father is glad to have his children back.
Gunmen kidnapped the twins, a boy, and a girl in Ibadan, the state capital of Oyo state about a week ago.
The abductors later demanded for £100,000 which is equivalent to N55 million for the release of the children.
It was not clear if and how much was paid as ransom for their release.
The joyous father shared the mews when via his Facebook account.
The popular cleric thanked everyone for the support and prayers and also appreciated God for returning his beloved kids.
“My twins have been released at 5.30 am of Sunday 3rd may, my abducted twin kids are released to me beside a bush after 8 days in an unknown land. Thanks to u all for your prayers and support, jazakumullahu khairan. Abere mi bo sinu okun, oloun yo pada fun mi.” He wrote.
