Rape: Stop being silent about sex education, Ajimobi admonishes parents
Wife of former Oyo State Governor, Mrs. Florence Ajimobi has reacted to the rape and death of Uwaila Omozuwa, the 22-year-old, the University Of Benin Student, which occurred in Benin, Edo State recently.
In her reaction on Instagram, Mrs. Ajimobi called for justice on the perpetrators, adding that Uwa didn’t deserve to be treated in such a humane manner.
She then admonished all parents to teach their sons the core values of respect, consent, and kindness.
“It’s time we stop being silent about sex education. We must educate our sons on consent, tell them they aren’t entitled to a woman’s body, tell them that ‘no’ means ‘no’. Make them understand that a woman is a whole entity, not a weak entity created just for men’s pleasures.” She wrote.
