‘Unexplained Wealth, Misuse Of Escorts’ – Police Detain Cubana Chief

Lagos nightlife promoter, Pascal Okechukwu better known as Cubana Chief Priest, has been detained by the police over alleged misuse of escorts and unexplained wealth.

According to Punch, the Instagram celebrity and executive director of Cubana Group, who is known for his luxury lifestyle, was detained by the inspector-general of police monitoring unit in Lagos.

It is understood that he arrived at the Force Headquarters Annex, Lagos, around 10am where he was invited for questioning over alleged misuse of escorts and weapons as well as unexplained wealth.

On his detainment, a police source was quoted to have said that his invitation followed an order from the office of the inspector-general who expressed shock over the abuse of police personnel.

“We have detained Cubana Chief Priest and he is facing interrogation for misuse of police personnel as well as the illegal use of a weapon and his extravagant and unexplained lifestyle,” he said.

Okechukwu’s case comes weeks after the IGP had ordered the probe of Emeka Okonkwo, a business mogul known as E-Money, over claims he was using his escorts like domestic servants.

“So, we have withdrawn his policemen and we are inviting him for questioning. The policemen will also be interrogated,” a source with the police was quoted to have said.

“The IG was surprised that policemen were attached to him in the first place and were being used as domestic servants, carrying umbrellas, opening doors, and doing menial jobs for him.”
