What’s the point of formal education? -Simi asks
Nigeria singer, Simi wants to know the point of formal education if people barely use most of the things they were taught.
According to her,people spend so many years in school learning something they do not care about.
The new mom of one added that there are people with talent and potential not tapped into simply because they are not prestigious enough.
She said most of the things learnt for many years in school is easily forgotten and the person goes ahead doing something else with their lives.
Now what’s the point? And who did this to us, she asked.
Taking to her status,on Instagram she wrote;
” Educational system is so s**t , most of us can’t even remember most of what we were taught in all the many years we spent in school.
People have potential and talent not tapped into ” because its not prestigious enough”…. Then they spend years ‘learning’ sthg they don’t care about.
Forget everything right after and end up doing something else with their lives. What’s the point then? Who did this to us?
Simi is married to Nigeria singer Adekunle Gold and together they have a child together.
