British R&B singer, Craig David has signed a global publishing deal with Round Hill Music, a US company, in an agreement that will see all of his new music administered by the firm.

According to Billboard, the new arrangement, which was announced on Wednesday, covers all of David’s catalog, including the 39-year-old musician’s UK chart-topping debut album ‘Born to Do It’.

“After 20 years as a performer and songwriter, this feels like a fresh start,” the singer said. “I couldn’t be happier that my music has found a new home with them (Round Hill).”

Robin Godfrey-Cass, managing director of Round Hill Music, who also spoke in the event of the deal’s signing, said: “David, quite frankly, is a national treasure.

“We are proud to be the global custodians of his music. I and the whole Round Hill Music team are excited about Craig’s future plans and look forward to adding our expertise to his brilliant team.”

Founded in 2010 by Josh Gruss alongside Richard Rowe and Neil Gillis, Round Hill Music now owns the publishing rights to more than 100,000 songs recorded by the likes of The Beatles.

Over the years, musicians like Frank Sinatra, Bruno Mars, The Offspring, Triumph, and Bush, Elvis Presley, AC/DC, Bobby Darin, Billie Holiday, and George Jones had their catalogues with the company.

David’s debut album ‘Born to Do It’ was released in 2000, after which he did five more albums and worked with a variety of artistes including Sting, Tinchy Stryder, Big Narstie, Kano, and Jay Sean.

He has had 20 UK Top 40 singles and seven UK Top 40 albums and got nominated for a total of fourteen Brit Awards. The singer has also sold over 15,000,000 records worldwide as a solo artist.
