Funke Bucknor-Obruthe writes emotional note to late sister, Tosyn

Nigerian entrepreneur and lawyer, Funke Bucknor-Obruthe is today, November 19, remembering her sister, Tosyn Bucknor, who died two years ago.

Tosyn, who was a popular radio presenter and entertainer, died due to complications from sickle cell.
The top event planner took to her Instagram page to pen down how unsteady her emotions has been since only sister’s demise and how their mum has been coping with the loss.of her baby, Tosyn.
She wrote: It’s been two years..I can’t believe it … Everytime I think about you and our bond, I just wave any emotions I feel away just because i don’t want to deal with them ….
“I danced so much at a party yesterday just because I didn’t want to have to think about today but alas the day is here…
“My mum said to me this morning , a ku iranti Tosyn and I was like mum I didn’t want to remind you oh or bring it up, she said how can I ever forget?
It hit me hard, my mother not only lost her husband, she also lost her baby (we are just two siblings) … but she’s been so strong, I definitely feed off her strength…
“Grief and pain is one of the hardest things to deal with and that’s because no one can deal with it for you, no matter how hard they try , they can’t carry the pain for you , they can only support / cry / pray and for and with you …
“There are waves of very good days, big waves of bad days and gigantic waves of very very bad days but I’ve come to realize that, that is the cycle of life and that’s ok ….
“I take consolation in the fact that mummy had a dream of where she saw you really radiant and happy and you told her you were ok and happy where you were and she shouldn’t worry about you and she should be happy ……
” I still haven’t finished writing that book (lamide and Yemi have offered to help) and so many other things ….
I guess I’ll get round to them all eventually …
“Continue to Rest In Peace my dearest only sibling, friend, gist partner, encouragement officer and vocabulary corrector/instructor etc ……..
“Love you plenty
Miss you more
