London designer, Mary Martin London, known for pushing the boundaries of haute couture, is once again, in the spotlight for her recent collection tagged, “The Return- Black Excellence”.
Shot in the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office in London for Black History Month, the collection created in commemoration according to the designer, signifies the strength, slavery, trials and tribulation the black people have been through in the past.
Featuring extravagant, queenly dresses, created with the kente, raw antic silk, African wax with feathers and dramatic headgears for extra va-va-voom, Mary’s pieces are nothing short of spectacular, strong, powerful, exaggerated yet royal.
