‘I’ll Opt For Artificial Insemination If I Don’t Find Tall Husband’ – Alex
Housemate of the third edition of the Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) reality show, Alex Asogwa says she might opt for artificial insemination (AI) if she doesn’t find a tall husband.
AI is a fertility treatment method used to deliver sperm to the cervix or uterus in the hopes of getting pregnant.
Asogwa, who is fondly called Alex Unusual, took to Snapchat to share a video where she spoke of her relationship preferences with her close friends.
Stating that she has a special fondness for tall people, the reality TV star noted she last dated a man in 2018.
“The last time I was in a relationship was in 2018. He has to be tall, I’m sorry. Maybe one would steal my heart. But for now, nobody that is short has been able to steal my heart,” she said as her friends persuaded in the background.
When prodded that it might be her fate to tie the knot with a man who is shorter than she is, Asogwa said: “Love will find me but I’m not even the one looking for it. What kind of long-distance relationship is that?
“Don’t even bother. Let me just go and do artificial insemination, have my children, and know I did not marry.”
Asogwa had earlier opened up on her battle with depression following her exit from the Big Brother Naija house.
“You can be rich before Big Brother and come out broke. Let’s say my parents were not there for me and I’ve been working all my life. Maybe I’ve been saving up for things among other plans I have for my life,” she had said.
“Then Big Brother comes along. I bring out the N6 million in my account and ask my guys to campaign for me. That money, we know can not be enough especially when you go far. But you come back and your account is empty.
“You’re waiting for brands to endorse you. One does and pays you your first millions. At that point, you have to get a house cause you need nice pictures for your page. People can’t know you’re living in a face-me-I-face-you.
“Because I went for BBNaija and a certain level of richness is expected of me. Now I go and rent this house with the first money from the endorsement deals. The second deal comes and you have to pay for light and a lot of things.”
