2021 in the movie industry is sure looking like an exciting year for the movie industry regardless of the global economic downturn spread across the sectors due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

While some movie projects production were halted, others billed for release in 2020 were postponed as a result of the pandemic.

With the ease of lockdown and cinemas now partially opened, movie lovers can now enjoy the wonderful experience of watching their favourite movie stars on the big screen.

These six movies slated for March are so interesting and we can’t wait to see them.

Coming 2 America

The movie, which is a sequel to ‘Coming To America’, a 1988 romantic comedy film, is set to hit the cinemas on March 5.

Directed by Craig Brewer, the film was shot in Atlanta, Georgia in 2019.

It follows the story of Prince Akeem, an African monarch’s journey to the United States of America, where he goes in search of his long-lost son.

It features movie stars like Eddie Murphy, Wesley Snipes, James Earl Jones, Tracy Morgan, Leslie Jones, Tenant Taylor and Sharon Headley.

Eagle Wings

The highly anticipated war film directed by Paul Apel Papel will finally hit the cinemas on March 12. It is also expected to premiere at the NAF conference centre in Abuja on February 25.

The movie is an action war thriller centered around the true accounts of the tragic experiences of an air force fighter pilot who is caught in the heat of insurgency.

It is Produced by Vincent Okonkwo and written by Toluwani Obayan.

Under the Carpet

This story of love, sacrifice and betrayal is set to premiere at IMAX cinema from March 7 and thereafter hit cinemas across the nation on March 12.

It featured movie stars like Iyabo Ojo, Femi Jacobs, Tana Adelana, Deyemi Okanlawon, Wasiu Alabi Pasuma, Lydia Lawrence Nze, Roxy Antak, Tosin Alabi and Moyinoluwa Olutayo.

La Femme Anjola

The highly anticipated crime thriller by Mildred Okwo, Nigerian filmmaker, is set to hit the cinemas on March 19.

The movie follows the story of a young man (Dejare) who becomes entangled in a deadly game of cat and mouse when he meets and falls for a mysterious woman (Anjola) whom he simply can’t have.

Shot in Lagos and Cape Town, South Africa, the movie has Rita Dominic and Nonso Bassey play the lead roles, and featured others like Mumbai Maina and Femi Jacobs.

The Razz Guy

Coming to cinemas on March 19, this situation comedy features Lasisi Elenu, Frank Donga, Samuel Perry, Nancy Isime, Ireti Doyle, Tina Mba, Nobert Young, Ibrahim Suleiman, among others.
