Chadwick Boseman, Viola Davis & Daniel Kaluuya nominated for Oscars 2021

Nominations for 93rd Academy Awards were announced Monday morning. Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra Jonas revealed the nominees live from London.

This year’s ceremony was delayed due to the pandemic and is set to air Sunday, April 25, on ABC.

“Mank,” Netflix’s black and white drama about screenwriter Herman J. Mankiewicz’s led the nomination with 10 nods.

Leslie Odom Jr. got nominated in the best supporting actor category for “One Night in Miami”, alongside Daniel Kaluuya and Lakeith Stanfield for “Judas and the Black Messiah.”

Two women were nominated for best director for the first time ever with Chloé Zhao (“Nomadland”) and Emerald Fennell (“Promising Young Woman”). They will compete against Thomas Vinterberg (“Another Round”), David Fincher (“Mank”) and Lee Isaac Chung (“Minari”).

Competing for Best Actress in a Leading Role are Viola Davis (“Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom”), Andra Day (“The United States v. Billie Holiday”), Vanessa Kirby (“Pieces of a Woman”), Frances McDormand (“Nomadland”) and Carey Mulligan (“Promising Young Woman”).
