Germany picks Ghana as its West African Centre for Global Health and Pandemic Prevention
Following Twitter’s announcement that Ghana will be the site of its African headquarters, the country has been chosen as the site for Germany’s West African Centre for Global Health and Pandemic Prevention. The German ambassador to Ghana, Christoph Retzlaff, revealed the centre’s location in a tweet on Thursday.
The Ghanaian center, according to Retzlaff, is one of eight around the world. He did not, however, list the other seven places.
He wrote on Twitter; “Excellent news: Germany 🇩🇪 will support launch of a new “German-West African Center for Global Health and Pandemic Prevention “. It will be located in Ghana 🇬🇭 and be part of 8 new centers worldwide to fight global challenges.”
