Asisat Oshoala wins UEFA Women’s Champions League with Barcelona
Super Falcon star, Asisat Oshoala, becomes the first African woman to win the UEFA Women’s Champions League triumph with Barcelona on Sunday, thrashing Chelsea 4-0 in Gothenburg.
Oshoala was introduced in the 71st minute for Jennifer Hermoso as Emma Hayes’ Blues failed in their quest to emerge as European queens.
The Champions League trophy joins the two league trophies, the Copa de la Reina, the Supercopa Femenina, and the two Catalunya Femenina cups that the four-time African women’s footballer of the year has won during her successful three-year tenure in Spain.
