Burna Boy Finally Receives Grammy Plaque
Burna Boy has finally gotten his Grammy Award plaque for his victory at the 2020 Grammy Awards. In the category of Best Global Music Album, his album ‘Twice As Tall’ won.
Burna Boy made the announcement on his Instagram page. He shared a photo of himself holding the Grammy prize, as well as a video of himself and Leriq, his longtime producer.
The musician expressed his joy upon earning the prize, saying it was the result of his parents’ prayers. Leriq can be seen in the video noticeably delighted, saying, “Have you ever seen a Grammy?”.
Burna Boy wrote; “Early Morning deliveries from across the pond! My parents prayed for excellent children, not houses, cars or “things”. They asked my sisters for stellar degrees; one got a first class in Finance, the other got a Distinction in Engineering. They asked me for a Grammy, and here we are. I am a product of sacrifice! Thank God and thank you all again!”.
