Nigerians mock Burna Boy as Wizkid’s concert ticket sells out

August 6,2021
Share:

Nigerian superstar, Wizkid shocked many when he announced that he sold out tickets for his ‘Made in Lagos’ concert at the O2 Arena in November.

Wizkid released his tickets earlier in the day for his concert and it sold out in 12 minutes.

The ‘Essence’ crooner confirmed this in a post on his Twitter page.

Revealed: How Foreigners Sold Wizkid's 'Made In Lagos' Concert Ticket Of N4,000 For N1,000 (Video) - Information Nigeria

This led to some fans mocking self acclaimed African Giant, Burna Boy, whose show at O2 arena on the 27th of August but yet haven’t sold out.

Some fans took to their social media page comparing who is the biggest artist between Wizkid and Burna Boy.

Others mocked Burna Boy for claiming to be the ‘African Giant’ yet cannot sell out tickets for his concert in days.

However, Burna Boy’s ticket sells at higher price and that could be the reason why tickets have not been sold out.

Here are some comments

@Asvpayo “Burna is still struggling to sell tickets una, i hope you lots never compare him to Wizkid again bc they’re not mates.”

@Tawheed “Burna’s show is 27th of this month with tickets still available and wizkid sold out his in less than 10 minutes.”

@Fredii “Not to be cocky for Wiz, but Wizkid’s team didn’t send out one email. I’ve received like 20 emails from Burna’s team plus the adds on FB and IG. Wizkid has sold out. Burna hasn’t. Burna was actually right when he said Wiz has nothing to prove.”

@Jeff “And you guys were wondering why we call him Big Wiz. This 02 sold out shock me under 12min, the same 02 Burna is yet to sell out his pre-ticket for months. Wizkid this is a lifetime assignment for African artist oh.”

@Sheldon “So I heard Burna boy’s price is £120 that be why his o2 show is still not sold out.Wizkid dey take £58. Still The African Giant.”

@TommyKing “O2 wey Burna dey struggle sell in 3 months ,e reach BIG WIZ turn he sell am in 12 minutes.”

@Dera “It’s been 3 months since Burna announced his O2 concert and he hasn’t sold up to half lol man even had to drop his price but UK no sabi he papa always obey your elders, Wizkid sold out in 12 mins! Wizkid is your grand dad in this game. Talmbout burna owns UK.”

@Chydee “Even Wizkid’s premium tickets have sold out, Burna’s hasn’t. And Wizkid only started three days ago, while Odogwu has been on it. Can anyone explain why? Wizkid is furnace hot, but Burna just came from a Grammy win. I’d expect him to sellout fast too. Why? Is it a marketing problem?

@Sulaimon_cule “Burna Boy’s show at the o2 is yet to sell out despite being announced some months back, and then there’s Wizkid, who sold out in 12 minutes after tickets went on sale today. I know my Goat!
