Ify Okoye reveals breastfeeding struggle

As the world celebrate World Breastfeeding Week, Ify Okoye, wife of Music executive, Jude Okoye, has shared her not-so-easy breastfeeding struggle with their third child, Ethan.

According to the mother of three, few days after leaving the hospital, her boobs were engorged, she had a high fever and was in so much pain. And In that painful situation, she still ensured baby Ethan latched on to her boobs as much as possible until everything came back to normal within the next 48 hours.

Despite the painful experiences, she will forever cherish these moments.

She celebrated all breastfeeding mums who struggled as she did; those who couldn’t, those without the support and those who don’t but support those that do.

“My breastfeeding journey wasn’t so easy at the beginning. Just Two days after leaving the hospital, my boobs were engorged, I had a high fever and was in so much pain. I remembered picking up my breast pump only to find out later that it was going to complicate things further. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

In that painful situation, I made sure baby Ethan latched on my boobs as much as possible until everything came back to normal within the next 48 hours.

“But despite all the ups and downs, I will forever cherish these moments especially now when Ethan is always trying to make eye contact while breastfeeding…oh the way he smiles when he finally gets on the milk machine, lol.😅.

“To the mamas who are still learning

The mamas who struggled

The mamas who couldn’t

The mamas without support

The mamas who breastfed for days

The mamas who breastfed for years

And those who don’t but support those that do

“Today I celebrate each and every one of you ❤️❤️
