Wizkid’s ”Essence” becomes most Shazamed song in USA
And the “most Shazamed” song in the United States goes to no other but Nigerian singer Wizkid’s song “Essence” featuring fast-rising singer Tems.
This marks a remarkable achievement for Wizkid and Tems, who are signed to the same label and for African music as a whole.
The song has been receiving wide acclaim since it was released off his fourth studio album, Made in Lagos in October last year.
The music-search platform gave the announcement on its website while sharing the Top 200 Most Shazamed songs in US.
Wizkid’s Essence has gained so much recognition in different parts of the world.
Recently, international pop star, Justin Bieber featured on the remix of the track which appears in the deluxe edition of the singer’s MIL album.
