Nigerian rapper, Olamide Gbenga Adedeji, professionally known as Olamide, says his next studio album, which is his 10th, might be his last.
The singer tweeted this via his page on Saturday while announcing the near completion of his next musical project.
Olamide said his forthcoming album, titled Unruly, is 95 percent ready.
He said he believes he has had a ‘mad run’ with his musical achievements thus far.
“Next Album ‘Unrul’ 95% ready. Release date, I don’t know. Taking my time to make it the best ever,” Olamide wrote.
“Probably my last album, though I’ll drop singles once in a blue moon when I feel like it. It’s been a mad ass run! Giving albums back to back.”
Olamide has had a total of nine studio albums to his name so far alongside EPs and multiple singles.
Popularly called Baddo or BaddoSneh, the 32-year-old rap star put out his debut studio album ‘Rapsodi’ in 2011.
After releasing ‘YBNL’, his second studio album, he launched YBNL Nation, his independent label imprint.
This company produced talented musicians like Lil Kesh, Adekunle Gold, Fireboy, and Chinko Ekun.
In 2020, YBNL signed a joint venture deal with Empire Distribution, a US music label and publishing company.
Unruly, which is yet to get a release date, will be coming after ‘UY Scuti’, Olamide’s ninth album released in 2021.
