‘Being a second wife is my choice’ – Mercy Aigbe to critics

Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe, has tackled those criticizing her for being a second wife to filmmaker, Kazim Adeoti, saying it is her choice.

The film star spoke in a recent interview with Media Room Hub alongside her husband as they both answer quickfire questions about their union.

Aigbe added that she won’t be the first person to become a second wife and she’s happy with the marriage.

“Please, I just want to tell Nigerians. Please, I’m not the first person to be a second wife. It is my choice to be a second wife. And I’m happy with it. Please, everybody should just leave me alone. Let me just be happy.”

“If you can be happy for me, be happy for me. If you’re not happy for me, go and get busy.

“On a much more serious note, it is my choice. I’m happy. So just leave me to enjoy my marriage, please.”

In January, Aigbe had unveiled Adeoti as her new partner.

Aigbe was then caught in the heat of social media criticism after Adeoti’s first wife accused the actress of snatching her husband.

In reaction, Aigbe had said there was nothing wrong with her marriage to Adeoti since he is a Muslim.
