Nella Stitches Presents: A Confident New Chapter in Women’s Office Wear

In a world where fashion must do more than flatter, it must empower, adapt, and inspire Oluwabunmi Bolawa steps confidently into the spotlight with her debut 10-piece collection of women’s workwear under Nella Stitches.

The new line is a recalibration of workwear that rejects sterility and embraces sensual structure, color consciousness, and cultural resonance.

Designed for the upwardly mobile woman who moves fluidly between power meetings, creative brainstorms, and after-hours influence, this body of work redefines what professional dressing can look like.

With her debut collection under the Nella Stitches label, Oluwabunmi Bolawa steps confidently into the conversation with a 10-piece capsule that reimagines professional dressing for the modern woman in motion.

This isn’t just workwear—it’s a wardrobe for the upwardly mobile woman navigating power meetings, creative brainstorms, and post-9-to-5 influence. Each look combines structure with sensuality, color with culture, and elegance with purpose. The collection rejects sterility and embraces a bold, feminine architecture.
Here’s a breakdown of the first three standout looks from the launch drop:

Here’s a look at each piece from the launch drop:

Look One: The Navy Power Ensemble
Crisp. Commanding. Cinematic.
This navy blue pant trouser set paired with a floral print shirt balances elegance with energy. The structure of the high-waisted trousers elongates the frame, creating a clean silhouette, while the blouse featuring puffed sleeves and a vivid splash of florals in shades of blue and violet injects life into the ensemble. The shirt’s tailored cut and button-down front retain a professional air, while the print dares to be seen.
Critique: The contrast between the sharp trouser line and the soft, romantic blouse works exceptionally well. However, the volume in the sleeves might benefit from a slimmer cut at the waist or subtle belt detailing to enhance shape definition. Nevertheless, this is a winning staple for boardroom renegades who want to stand out without losing gravitas.

Look Two: Autumn Inferno Meets Sapphire Calm

A statement in color and confidence.

Here, an earthy red patterned blouse with painterly richness is set against cool teal trousers, creating a dynamic and unexpected palette. The blouse short-sleeved and delicately collared feels almost like wearable art, with its blend of fiery hues and dark undertones. The trousers fall with grace, their clean lines serving as a grounding force to the energetic top.

Critique: This ensemble scores high on individuality and color mastery. However, the print’s intensity may limit its versatility. As a capsule piece, it’s an expressive standout, though one that may demand confidence to wear repeatedly.

Look Three: Sandstone Architecture
Subtle sculpture, tailored dreams.
Arguably the most architectural of the collection, this taupe two-piece set stuns with its origami-like pleats and layered asymmetry. It’s a masterclass in tonal sophistication. The unexpected drape over the shoulder softens what could have been a conventional wrap top, bringing in an editorial edge.

Critique: This is Bolawa’s quietest piece, and also her most refined. The muted palette might feel too understated for maximalists, but therein lies its genius: it whispers power rather than shouting it. Some may find the muted color a touch too safe, but its versatility and elegance speak volume.

Final Thoughts: Workwear for the Woman Who Leads
Oluwabunmi Bolawa’s workwear capsule for Nella Stitches is a boldentry into the global conversation about what women wear to lead. While the collection leans more toward wearable art than pure functionality in some cases, that tension is what makes it thrilling. With masterful tailoring, unexpected prints, and architectural detail, this collection bridges business and beauty with effortless grace.
