Organisers of BON to unveil host city for 2022 awards on Tuesday

The organisers of the Best of Nollywood (BON) have announced plans to unveil the host city for the 2022 edition of the awards.
According to NAN, the founder of the annual awards, Seun Oloketuyi, said the host city would be announced on Tuesday.
Oloketuyi said the unveiling of the host city would take place alongside the presentation of hosting rights to the governor of the host state.
The event is expected to officially kickstart activities lined up ahead of this year’s edition of the awards billed to hold on December 3.
This will be the 14th edition of the awards which honour outstanding achievements in the Nigerian movie industry.
The event was first held on December 6, 2009. Last year’s edition, hosted by Denrele Edun, the TV personality, took place in Lokoja, Kogi state.
In 2021, Ramsey Noah’s ‘Rattlesnake’ and Desmond Obviaghele’s ‘The Milkmaid ’ were named among the biggest winners of the awards.
Other winners are ‘Best Actor in a Leading Role’ (English), Stan Nze – Rattlesnake; ‘Best Actress in a Leading Role’ (English), Bolaji Ogunmola – Butterflies.
Also included are ‘Best Actor in a Supporting Role’ (English), Buchi Franklin – Rattlesnake; ‘Best Actress in a Supporting Role’ (English), Ebenezer Eno – ‘Yours Regardless’; ‘Best Actor in a Leading Role’ (Yoruba), Samuel Oniyitan – Abeke.
The ‘Most Promising Actress of the Year’ was Anthonieta Kalunta (The Milkmaid), while ‘Revelation of the Year’ (Male) was Emmanuel Wilson (Bigshark).
