Late singer, Osinachi’s children to testify against father in court
Late gospel singer, Osinachi Nwachukwu’s children, will testify in court against their father while wearing a blindfold.
A federal capital territory high court sitting in Wuse zone 2, has directed two of the late singer’s children to apply in court wearing blindfold.
Osinachi, who passed away in April, was initially thought to have died of throat cancer.
Her family, friends and colleagues however, claim that her death is connected to the incessant domestic abuse from her spouse and manager, Peter Nwachukwu, who has been arrested and charged to court with a 33 count charge filed against him by the federal government.
At the court session on Tuesday, Aderonke Imana, prosecution counsel told the court that the singer’s children will testify against their father.
She prayed the court to protect the children by blindfolding them and putting them in shield while they testify.
Further, she prayed the court to direct non-parties in the suit to vacate the court when the children will testify.
In his response, Njideka Nwosu-Iheme, the presiding judge granted the application sought by the prosecution counsel.
