Miss Cell 2022 pageant: Heads should roll, except… – Reno Omokri reacts

Nigerian lawyer and Human Rights Activist Reno Omokri has recommended sanctions for organisers of the Miss Cell pageant, which was held for female inmates at the Kirikiri correctional facility in Lagos.

Reno was reacting to trending photos on social media which revealed that Chidinma Ojukwu, the prime suspect in the murder of late Super TV CEO, Usifo Ataga, won the beauty pageant.

Reno in a tweet on Thursday noted that a prison is a place of punishment and rehabilitation. Once it becomes a place of fun, the purpose is defeated.

Reno wondered how the family of the deceased would feel seeing the accused prancing about as a beauty queen.

“Prison is a place of punishment and rehabilitation. Once it becomes a place of fun, the purpose is defeated. How will Usifo’s family feel to see Chidinma prancing about as a beauty queen in prison? Heads should roll, except Chidinma has a prison official sugar zaddy!” He tweeted.
