J Matins to run for House of Rep in 2023

Popular Nigerian musician, Martins Okechukwu, popularly known as J Martins has declared his interest to run for political office in Abia State come 2023.
The singer said he seeks to represent Arochukwu/Ohafia in Abia State and hopes to represent his constituency in the House of Representatives in 2023.
The 44-year-old musician is the first Nigerian entertainer to formally declare to run for political office in 2023.
He made the declaration on Instagram on Friday and also stated that he will make a formal announcement in a few weeks.
The singer publicly sought the support of his fans, friends and family.
Shortly after making his intention public, star singer, Banky W. also announced that he intends to run for the same seat but in Lagos State.
