Nigerian dancer and choreographer, Kafayat Oluwatoyin Shafau, better known as Kaffy, recently disclosed that she refrained from having sex with her husband, Joseph Ameh, three years before their divorce over alleged infidelity.

Featured on the latest episode of #WithChude hosted by media personality, Chude Jideonwo, the mother of two spoke about

The entertainer tied the knot with her music director husband, Ameh, in 2012.

Kaffy however confirmed the end of the union, which produced two children, months after rumours of their split surfaced online.

During the interview, the dancer claimed her ex-husband cheated on her with her best friend.

Adding that the incident had its toll on her and she only started healing when she stopped having sex with her husband.

“Let me tell you when I started healing; when I stopped sleeping with my husband. I was celibate in my marriage for three years before getting a divorce. I now understand that marriage is an alignment of assignment.”

“There are different kinds of red flags that we women in love are so blinded by. If I had known, I would have not jumped into it,” she added.

“I was thinking in the beginning that I have found someone that would make me happy.

“That’s the most selfish thinking that any human being can have for another human being.”

The dancer also recounted how her parents endured domestic violence in their marriage.

According to her, her parents often use sharp objects like knives and forks whenever they fought.
