Today, May 30 is the first posthumous birthday of Pastor Rosemary Simangele Nomthi Odukoya, wife of Senior Pastor of The Fountain of Life Church, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, and family, friends and associates celebrated the day with the launch of one of the books she was working on before the Lord took her home.

Themed ‘Protecting and educating our children, the launch took place virtually and physically.

Before her death, Pastor Nomthi inspired many as she provided resources, tools, skills, and knowledge to equip parents, educators, and children, through her books and messages.

Aside from being a pastor, the mum-of-two boys was also an accomplished author. Some of her bestsellers include ‘A Bully is not a Hero’, Help! They are fighting again,’ ‘Boys and girls are different but equal’, ‘Enjoy your life,’ and a host of others.

Through her Wazi foundation, she also championed several advocacy initiatives for children’s welfare.

She died on November 8, 2021, following a hard-fought battle with cancer that lasted two years.

The South-African mother of two married Pastor Taiwo in January 2010, five years after the petroleum engineer-turned-cleric lost his first wife, Bimbo, in the ill-fated 2005 Sosoliso Airlines flight that crashed in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
