Peter Nwachukwu, the late singer Osinachi husband’s trial has been inhibited by the absence of Judge in court.
The high court in Abuja, presiding over the alleged homicide and domestic violence case against Nwachukwu was expected to sit on Thursday.
Gospel singer, Osinachi was alleged to have been a silent victim of domestic assault from her husband, Nwachukwu.
The mother of four, who passed away in April was initially thought to have died of throat cancer.
However, some of her family members and colleagues have claimed a connection to the physical and emotional assault by her husband who was later arrested and have been in custody ever since.
The federal government went on to file a 23-count charge against Nwachukwu.
The presiding judge, Njideka Nwosu-Iheme, had on June 3, ordered that Nwachukwu be remanded in Kuje Correctional Center.
The judge had also fixed Thursday and Friday, for the hearing after Nwachukwu pleaded not guilty to the alleged charges.
Although, the defendant was in court, the Judge, however, was absent from the Thursday proceedings.
While the court officials would not divulge the reason for her absence, June 20 and 21 have been fixed for another hearing.
