Jandor speaks on silence from Funke Akindele’s colleagues over running mate selection
Different responses have been sparked by the selection of Nollywood actress, Fuke Akindele, as the running mate of Dr. Abdul Azeez Adediran, aka Jandor, the PDP governorship candidate.
Jandor talked about why he chose the filmmaker in an interview with Arise TV.
In his statement, Jandor said that he selected Funke Akindele the businesswoman, not the roles that she plays as Sulia or Jenifa.
He continued by claiming that the ruling party, who termed them unserious for choosing the actress, once offered Desmond Elliott’s a ticket.
But he voiced concern about how Funke’s colleagues were reacting to his choice of her as his running mate.
The politician expressed concerns over the industry’s conspiracy of silence, from important individuals who could have countered unpopular accusations that Funke is not the best option for government since she is an actress.
Instead, there have been a deafening quietness since many Nigerians think Funke should stick to acting rather than dipping her toe into politics because they don’t think she is qualified to do so.
