WAYS TO INCORPORATE YOUR PERSONALITY INTO YOUR KITCHEN DESIGN

Kitchens are the heart of every home, and they should be designed so that they function elegantly and efficiently. Besides reflecting your home, family, and how you use it, your kitchen can also reflect your personality.

To make your kitchen more inviting and personal, here are ways to add your own unique design elements.

Be Bold with the Backsplash

A bold backsplash with style and personality can make a huge difference in the design of your kitchen. Accentuate the backsplash colour or design with neutral-coloured cabinetry and countertops. It’s true that a backsplash is permanent, but it’s also easy to replace if needed.

Accentuate Cabinet Doors with Style

You can accent a few cabinet doors with style by choosing wired inserts, decorative glass, mirror, mullion designs, or even unique coloured inserts. It is not necessary to replace mullions, mirrors, or glass inserts when reselling. The cabinet inserts can easily be swapped out for a more neutral option if they are a very bold colour or pattern.

Express Yourself with Cabinet Hardware “ The Jewelry of the Kitchen”

There is nothing more beautiful than cabinet hardware, sometimes called the “jewelry of the kitchen.” Selecting a unique or bold hardware adds drama and personalized detail to your space.

Use Lighting as Art

Large, over-scaled light fixtures are becoming the “eye candy” for the kitchen design. Express yourself and add an attractive design element with a truly unique light fixture or two.

Select Open Shelves to Display Your Favourite Ware

You can display your own unique dishware and decor on open shelves to add a sense of spaciousness to a room. It’s a great way to incorporate your interests into your kitchen design while maintaining practicality.
