‘We wait results of the autopsy’ – Family announces sudden death of actress Busisiwe Lurayi

Busisiwe Lurayi, a South African actress from the movie ‘How to Ruin Christmas’, passed away in her Johannesburg home on Sunday. 

The actress was pronounced dead at her residence on Sunday 10/7/2022 by medical personnel.

Her management team, Eye Media Artists Agency, confirmed her passing in a statement, saying they are yet to confirm the cause of her death. 

The statement reads; “We are deeply saddened to notify you of the passing of our beloved “The reason for her death is still unknown as we wait for the results of the autopsy report.” The agency humbly requests that the public allow the family to come to terms with the tragic news. “We thank you for the support that has been given so far and will provide further information as soon as it has been made available.”

Today, July 11 also marks the one year death anniversary of Rapper and Singer Olanrewaju Fasasi, popularly known as Sound Sultan, who died in 2021 of Angioimmunoblastic T- Cell Lymphoma in the United States of America.

Sound Sultan lost his battle with cancer at the early hours of the fateful day. He was peacefully buried according to Muslim rites and tradition.

Sound Sultan was buried in New Jersey, USA in the presence of his grieving wife and siblings.
