I’m glad she’s no longer in my life- Temmie Ovwasa talks about mum
Controversial musician,
Temmie Ovwasa, has said she is happy she cut relations with her mother.
During a question-and-answer session on her Instagram story, the 25-year-old made this statement in relation to her rocky relationship with her mother.
Temmie said it was difficult to break off contact with her mother, but she is glad she did in response to a question on how it felt to do so. Temmie revealed that she had a horrific upbringing.
Her mother, like many other women, is, in her opinion, ”caught up in the lies, toxicity and abusive cycles”.
In her words:
“I’m glad she’s no longer in my life, but I mourn the person I would have been if she didn’t traumatize me so much. It took me years to finally cut her off, a very difficult process, but I’m healing and mothering myself like I deserve to be mothered”.
Temmie Ovwasa continued by describing the reaction her mother had upon discovering that her daughter is a lesbian.
She recounted how her mother took her for deliverance sessions and had ministers of God lay hands on her when she realized she is a lesbian after she was discovered writing love letters to girls.
