The Fashion show segment of the Africa Creative Market, FashionEVO, which held recently in Lagos, showcased the depth of young innovative designers in the country.

Organised by The YD Company, the event which held last Friday at the
Landmark Event Center,
featured seven young Nigerian fashion brands – Henri Uduku, Cute Saint, Mmakamba, Skentele by Etti, Joseph Ejiro, Bola Yahaya, and headlined by Ejiro Amos Tafiri.
These designers showed their creativity with contemporary, avant-garde and unique clothing pieces, playing with bright, bold colours, tulle, chiffon, Ankara, Adire and more.
The YD Company in partnership with SOAAK102 and Designer Tasha, also facilitated a pitch competition themed ‘Trash to Glam’, aimed at promoting a carbon-neutoral fashion industry.
The brief was for designers to create fashion pieces in a way which is most considerate of humanity and the environment, reducing the environmental impact wherever possible.
Shortlisted participants showcased their pieces, and the winner was awarded $500, Celebrity Styling and an international magazine feature.
The evening also witnessed lots of fabulousness and glamour as guests in attendance were adequately dressed for the show.
Fast emerging musical artistes, Deborah Gold, and Litovibes serenaded the audience with great music and ultimately incredible vibes and energy.
