‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ to premiere in Nigeria

The blockbuster film ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ is set to premiere in Nigeria. The film distribution company, FilmOne Entertainment, confirmed this.

The premiere will take place in Lagos ahead of the film’s highly anticipated global theatrical release on November 11, 2022.

In collaboration with the Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF) and FilmOne Entertainment, the Walt Disney Company, revealed recently that Nigeria will host the official African premiere of Marvel Studios’ ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.’

With Shuri (Letitia Wright) rumoured to take over as the Black Panther following the death of Chadwick Boseman, the highly anticipated sequel will see Wakanda threatened by newfound enemies as many fan-favorite characters return for the potentially record-breaking sequel.

The sequel’s production, which lasted over a year, was fraught with difficulties due to minor set injuries and Covid-19 ailments. It began in August 2020, following months of speculation about recasting the role of King T’Challa, played by Chadwick Boseman, who died of cancer the previous year.

Temilade Openiyi, aka ‘Tems,’ also sang a cover of Bob Marley’s ‘No, Woman, No Cry’ with a Kendrick Lamar sample of Alright on the soundtrack of Marvel Studio’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
