Lagos govt probes nurses for filming unconscious Rico Swavey
The Lagos State Government has launched an investigation into the actions of some Doren Specialist Hospital staff in Ajah following their gross misconduct and unprofessionalism while Rico Swavey was dying in their emergency unit.
The ex-BBnaija housemate whose real name is Patrick Fakoya, was involved in a terrible car accident on Wednesday and sadly, he died on Thursday.
Hours after his death, a video emerged online of Rico on oxygen while placed on a chair in an unconscious state and some nurses were laughing.
However, a nurse could be heard requesting that unconscious Rico be lifted onto the bed.
“You people should stop making the video. Somebody is dying, you people are making video,” she said.
The video sparked outrage on social media, with people demanding an investigation citing examples of people who have had similar experiences of negligence in Nigerian hospitals.
Gbenga Omotoso, the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, announced that an investigation has been launched.
That hospital is not a government hospital; we have started an investigation into the unprofessional conducts of those who appeared in that video.
