Real Men Also Wear Pink

By Yemisi Suleiman

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and the colour pink is typically associated with breast cancer advocacy while the pink ribbon represents the strength of survivors, the fearlessness in supporting them and the hope for a cure.

As we embrace the Awareness campaign, what better way for men to show support than by sporting pink! Whether you are going to the office, a formal event or out on weekend, wearing pink shows your support while also making a bold style statement.
This month, be daring with the addition of a pink shirt to your everyday suit or accent your outfit with a pink tie. You can accessorize your French cuff shirt with pink cufflinks or complete a formal outfit with a pink pocket square, the options are endless.

By wearing pink, not only are you raising awareness of breast cancer, but you are committing to actively supporting the health and wellness of the women in your life, while also looking great doing so!

  1. Pink Bow tie

While bow ties are perfect for formal and elegant events, a pink bow tie is a sign of support and also a bold fashion statement.

  1. Pink Suit

If you can, make a bold style statement in an all pink suit and be the centre of attraction for that pink ball of cocktail event. You can tone it down with a white shirt or any neutral colour.

  1. Cufflinks

Transform your plain outfit from basic to debonair with a pair of classy cufflinks, this time in pink. Great for formal social events, these elegant cufflinks are a fun way to personalize your outfit.

  1. Skinny long tie

This not-so-basic tie is a must for your professional wardrobe. Featuring a tight pattern of polka dots, the skinny tie will elevate your next workday look from meh to exceptional.

  1. Pink Ribbon or Lapel pin

Add some fun and flair to your ensemble with a beautiful Lapel Pin in pink as a sign of your support for breast cancer awareness month.

  1. Pink shirt or t-shirt

A real man feels comfortable in any colour, especially when he wears a pink shirt or t-shirt. It is perfect for all the wonderful men out there who want to show their support.

  1. Pocket Square

Making a statement has never been so simple with solid silk pocket squares. Add some flair with a pink pocket square to show solidarity.
