American actor, Chris Evans, has been named People’s Sexiest Man Alive for 2022.

Chris now holds the title of Sexiest Man Alive, which was previously held by 53-year-old actor Paul Rudd in November 2021.

On Monday, November 7, during the evening broadcast of “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert,” the star of “The Gray Man” and the original Captain America of Marvel Comics was announced as this year’s recipient.

Dwayne Johnson, 50, who had previously held the title, introduced the 41-year-old actor, who later collected the prize online from the set of his upcoming movie.

Colbert who made the announcement said,

It is with humility and gratitude that I am thrilled to announce that People magazine has decided to award me the incredible honor of announcing the sexiest man alive for a second year in a row!

In the article that announced him as this year’s winner, Evans informed People:

My mom will be so happy.

She’s proud of everything I do but this is something she can really brag about.

The list of recent winners, include; Michael B. Jordan, John Legend, Dwayne Johnson, Chris Hemsworth, Idris Elba, Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Ryan Reynolds, and David Beckham.

Since the award’s establishment in 1985 with Mel Gibson as the first winner, the journal has featured a list of the sexiest men alive every year.
