POWER PLAY: A Visual Manifesto of Feminine Boldness by Oluwadamilola Adeyinka Shofarasin

Even though fashion industry saturated with fleeting trends, Nigerian designer Oluwadamilola Adeyinka Shofarasin and Creative Director of Dhven Touch emerges as a force of creative continuity and elegant audacity.

Her latest collection, POWER PLAY, isn’t merely a seasonal offering but it’s a bold statement on the identity, strength, and refined beauty of the contemporary woman. Featuring three carefully curated designs, each piece in the collection serves as a standalone narrative while contributing to a cohesive visual and philosophical journey.

Shofarasin’s design language is deliberate and distinguished. Her aesthetic is unapologetically feminine yet commands attention with structured silhouettes, bold details, and sharp tailoring. POWER PLAY celebrates womanhood not as a quiet elegance but as a vocal, visible power. The collection interprets the modern woman’s poise, presence, and purpose with a nod to both tradition and transformation.

Whether it’s the compelling first design, the attention calling second design or the third and the last sophisticated design, this announces luxury.
The first design in the collection is a structured midi gown in a deep violet hue, punctuated with crisp white angular collars and flared hip panels. The double-breasted silver buttons evoke vintage military styling, signaling authority; while the form-fitted tailoring speaks to poise and control.

The dress is a masterclass in balance: its masculine tailoring contrasts with a distinctly feminine silhouette.

This ensemble symbolizes the convergence of softness and strength. Whoever adorns this dress would not ask for space because she already occupies it with intention. The large statement collar adds a touch of aristocratic drama, making it a piece suitable for both boardrooms and high-society engagements.
In sharp contrast to the structured first look, the second design is a flirtatious, candy-pink gown that captures the whimsy and softness of femininity.

However, don’t be fooled, this design is not about fragility. The exaggerated feathered cuffs are bold and attention-commanding, suggesting that softness can be a power play in its own right.

The sweetheart neckline and tailored fit reinforce elegance, while the bright hue and feather embellishments push the boundaries of conventional formalwear. This design is the collection’s most expressive piece – a declaration that femininity, in all its traditional visual cues, can be a disruptive, empowered form of expression. So far, Oluwadamilola Adeyinka Shofarasin’s creativity is graciously expressed more in this design.

The final piece in the trio channels a minimalist, intellectual vibe. Constructed in blocks of navy and cobalt blue, this dress is both utilitarian and artistic. The asymmetric pattern and comfortable knit fabric embrace a more fluid expression of style. It is a nod to the creative thinker, the woman who navigates the urban world with insight and individuality.
This piece is less about grandeur and more about everyday power, the kind that doesn’t shout but transforms spaces through presence and intellect.
With POWER PLAY, Oluwadamilola Adeyinka Shofarasin positions herself and her brand, Dhven Touch not just as a designer and a brand, but as a visual storyteller. Her narrative is one of clarity and cultural pride, sophisticated rebellion, and beauty with backbone. The collection transcends aesthetics; it is functional, editorial, and poetic all at once.
This is a lineup for women who are unafraid of occupying space, making statements, and embracing every dimension of their identity. From the boardroom to the boulevard, POWER PLAY celebrates women in their full, vibrant power. And in today’s world, that is the kind of fashion one doesn’t just wear – it is embodied..
